You can use a small soft brush, like the lipstick or eyebrow brush, soap and water to clean your jewelry. Just make a bowl of warm sudsy water with water detergent and place your pieces in the mixture. Then brush the diamonds with softbrush bristles while they are in foam. You will need to ensure that you rinse them clear of the foam. You can use a small kitchen sieve or a tea strainer to put them while rinsing under hot water. Use a lint-free fabric, or a jewelry polishing cloth to pat dry the diamonds.

If your diamonds are in need of greater cleaning, you want to may soak them for 30 minutes in a solution of 50% water and 50% ammonia. Soak them for 30 minutes, then remove and gently brush the mountings with a small brush. Then put them back into the solution and whirl them around in the mixture before withdrawing them; rinse and pat dry.

If you find yourself too busy to be mixing soap and ammonia, many department shops are selling jewelry cleaning liquid with kits included. You need to read labels to determine what is right to diamonds and other jewelry. Read the complete directions and follow all the precautions.

If you are the most “high-tech type”, even in your diamond cleaning routine, there are several ultrasound cleansers on the market. These cleansers are machines using high-frequency to create a movement for cleaning. All machines are not the same, so read instructions before using.

Only you can choose the cleaning method right for you. But it is important to keep your own jewelry shining and sparkling. Between cleaning, try not to touch your own diamonds with your fingers or hold your jewelry by its edges. This help maintain its luster and shine for longer periods.
